Training, Not Photography

Training, Not Photography

📸 Instagram

Training, not photography — this listing said urban photography and that is not what I do. I am a trainer. My page is strength work, sustainable nutrition and the unglamorous side of staying functional as you get older: injury prevention, recovery, the adjustments that keep somebody training at fifty rather than stopping at forty. So a post from me suits equipment, supplements, footwear or anything a person actually trains with — and it does not suit a product that needs a young aesthetic, because that is not my audience. I test things for a period before I write about them, because a fitness claim made after one session is worth nothing. Send the product, what it claims to do, and the evidence behind that claim if there is any.

Form First, Then the Product

Form First, Then the Product

📸 Instagram

Form first, then the product — and this listing said Manila street content, which is not my page at all. I am a trainer. A reel from me shows a movement done properly and where people get it wrong, and if your product belongs in that — a belt, a band, footwear, a supplement taken around training — it appears inside the work rather than beside it. What I will not do is demonstrate something I would not use myself or make a claim about what it does to a body. My followers are older than the usual fitness audience and they have been sold enough. Send the product, what it claims, and give me a few weeks of training with it before you expect anything filmed.

One Movement, One Product

One Movement, One Product

📸 Instagram

One movement, one product, and enough weeks with it to have an opinion. A dedicated reel from me is built around a single exercise done properly — the setup, the common fault, the correction — with your equipment inside that work rather than displayed next to it. What it will not contain is a claim about what your product does to a body, because I am a trainer rather than a clinician and my followers are old enough to have heard every version of that claim already. Send the product and give me several weeks of training with it, then we can talk about filming.

Training Footage, Handed Over

Training Footage, Handed Over

📸 Instagram

Training footage, handed over, filmed by somebody who knows what the movement should look like. That matters more than it sounds. Most fitness UGC is shot by a creator performing an exercise rather than doing it, and anybody who trains can tell within two seconds — bad bar path, collapsed position, a rep that would injure somebody copying it. Footage like that damages a brand with exactly the customers it needs. So what you get is technically correct work, several angles, unbranded, yours to run. I will also tell you if the exercise in your brief is a poor demonstration of your product and suggest a better one. Send the equipment, and tell me which exercise you want demonstrated so I can say whether it flatters the product or not.

Tested by a Trainer Who Is Not Twenty

Tested by a Trainer Who Is Not Twenty

📸 Instagram

Fitness content is full of people in their early twenties who would look good regardless of what they are selling. I am not one of them, and my followers are here precisely for that. I train and advise from Poblacion with a long stretch of experience behind it, and my page argues that strength does not have an age limit. That means when I test your product, the audience watching is older, more sceptical, and considerably harder to impress with packaging alone. Equipment, supplements, recovery products, apparel and training programmes all fit. 4,418 people follow me. Send it with whatever evidence you have. I will use it properly before I say anything, and I will not claim a result I did not get. That cuts both ways, so decide which side you are on before booking. If your product works, an older sceptical audience saying so publicly is worth more than a dozen enthusiastic posts from people who were always going to look fit.

Not Urban Storytelling — Barbells

Not Urban Storytelling — Barbells

📸 Instagram

Not urban storytelling — barbells, and the listing said otherwise for reasons I cannot explain. I am a strength trainer. What I produce is a review of something you actually train with, after training with it, covering whether it holds up under load and whether the sizing or the build is what the marketing says. That takes weeks rather than an afternoon, and it means occasionally telling a brand their strap stretched or their shoe collapsed under a heavy set. My followers are older than the usual fitness audience and they have bought enough equipment to spot a review written after one session. Send the product, the specification and the load it is rated for, and give me long enough to put it under real weight.

In the Rack, Not the Frame

In the Rack, Not the Frame

📸 Instagram

In the rack, not the frame — the product appears where it is used rather than held to camera. The old title on this said urban audiences, which is not a description of anybody who follows me. What I have is people who train and who are past the age where a physique on a screen persuades them of anything. So a reel from me shows your equipment in the middle of a working set, with the weight on it, and the commentary is about the movement rather than the brand. If your product cannot be seen doing its job, this format will not flatter it. Send the equipment and enough time to train with it before I film.

Between Sets, on My Phone

Between Sets, on My Phone

📸 Instagram

Between sets, on my phone, which is when the frames actually get taken. A Story set from me is not a produced sequence — it is the gym, the rack, the thing I am using that session, filmed in the ninety seconds between working sets. That is what my followers do too, so the frames look like theirs rather than an advertisement. It works for equipment, footwear and anything that lives in a training bag. It does nothing for a product that needs explaining. Send the item and enough time for me to actually train with it, plus whatever you want on the link.

A Training Week, Ten Frames

A Training Week, Ten Frames

📸 Instagram

A training week, ten frames, and no rest days edited out. The set runs across a full week of sessions rather than one good day, which for equipment matters because the interesting question is never how it performs on the first use. Does the grip go slick by session four. Does the strap loosen. Does the shoe still feel right on the second heavy day. Ten frames spread across that week answer those in a way one video cannot, and if something degrades I will show it. Send the item with enough lead time for a real training block, and the link for the frames.

Not Travel — a Training Day

Not Travel — a Training Day

📸 Instagram

Not travel — a training day, which is what the old title got wrong about this. Twenty-four hours from me is not a trip anywhere. It is the session, the food around it, the recovery, the part in the evening where everything aches. That is the day my followers are living and the one they want to see done properly. Your product runs through the whole of it, which for supplements or equipment means it is seen in the context that decides whether it works — before, during, after. Not held up once. Send it a fortnight early so it is already part of the routine, plus whatever the label claims, because I will say on camera whether the day supported that.

Nightlife Was Wrong — This Is a Gym

Nightlife Was Wrong — This Is a Gym

📸 Instagram

Nightlife was wrong on this listing — I train people, and the two audiences could not be further apart. Somebody booking a nightlife shoutout would have reached a room of people who go to bed early because they lift in the morning. My followers are older, they train seriously, and most of them stopped drinking years ago. What a live mention from me is worth is to a gym, an equipment brand, a supplement or a physio service — anything the room already spends money on. I go live after sessions rather than on a schedule, so the mention lands to people who have just trained. Send the name, the peso price and one line, and tell me what the product actually claims.

Bring the Person Who Knows the Load

Bring the Person Who Knows the Load

📸 Instagram

Bring the person who knows the load rating, not the one who knows the campaign. My followers will ask what weight a rack is rated to, whether a belt is IPF-legal, what the warranty covers if a weld fails. Those have exact answers or they do not, and guessing in front of people who train seriously is worse than saying you will check. I can talk about how something felt over weeks of use and nothing beyond that. The hour works when the two halves are clear. Send somebody technical, tell me what is under embargo, and if there is a known limitation I would rather raise it myself than have somebody in the comments do it first.

Not Young Urban — People Who Lift

Not Young Urban — People Who Lift

📸 Instagram

Not young urban Filipinos — people who lift, which is a completely different prize list. The old title on this aimed at a demographic I do not have. My followers are older, they train, and a giveaway that works here is equipment, footwear, a supplement, a gym membership. A voucher for something fashionable gets ignored. The other thing worth knowing is that this audience will check whether the prize is any good. A cheap version of a serious piece of equipment produces comments rather than entries, and those comments stay under the post. So send something you would stand behind in front of people who know the category. I run the rules, the closing date and a public draw, and I check the winner actually trains. Tell me the specification and whether the winner collects or you post it.

Not Manila's Scene — a Gym Bundle

Not Manila's Scene — a Gym Bundle

📸 Instagram

Not Manila's scene — a gym bundle, because that is what I actually have to sell. The old title on this promised a night-out city showcase. My page is strength training: sessions, form, equipment, recovery, and an audience older than the usual fitness feed. The bundle is Story frames across a training week, a reel built around one movement, and a permanent post with the specification and the peso price. Three formats, all pointed at the same question — does this hold up under load. The reason to take all three rather than one is that my followers do not buy equipment quickly. They see it in use, look it up, wait, and come back. Send the item with a fortnight of lead time, the specification and what it is rated for, and expect me to say on camera if the answer is no.
